I believe in creating resources to solve problems.

I use several tools in my projects: mySQL to create databases, HTML & CSS to build and design a website, JavaScript to make the site functional, PHP to communicate with the server, STATA & R to analyze data, React, Gatsby, and Wordpress as guides. I also use Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Draw, Sketch, and InVision to make graphics and prototypes. I remember how frustrating it was to learn how to code, and I’m always willing to take the time to explain how coding works.

I have degrees from UC Davis and Columbia University, and received training in web development from AcademyPGH. I seek out snorkeling spots, ice cream, Monterey cypress, and fireflies. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and previously lived in Northern California, and New York City. Before moving to Pittsburgh, I did health research, policy/law work, and taught at the local community college. I advocate for Deaf issues and talk about my experience at the UC Davis Centennial Convocation. I document my life in MG's Writings. I’m up for new challenges and creative projects.
